Michael Johnson, LPC, LCAS (SC, GA, NC)
Lead Therapist
Michael Johnson is the Lead Therapist at Inner Rest Counseling, LLC. Michael has experience treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, ADHD, substance use disorders, anger management, as well as other mental health issues.. He is also experienced in teaching psychoeducational group classes and facilitating substance abuse support groups. His clinical approach is integrative, drawing from both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT ) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). However, other approaches will be implemented according to the needs of the clients. ​

When Michael is not working with clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching basketball, relaxing by the water, and most recently traveling to African countries. Michael has been happily married for 23 years!

Catrina Anderson, LAPC (GA)

Catrina from Augusta, GA is a compassionate, dedicated Licensed Associate Professional Counselor . She helps teens and adults navigate anxiety and depression. She enjoys working with the young adult population and has empathy for what the youth are experiencing in our rapidly changing world today. Catrina is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy and EMDR informed. She has applied these therapies to help her clients heal and find peace. Believing in self-care, Catrina is committed to keeping herself healthy and happy for her clients, She enjoys exercising, traveling, and entertaining herself with a little reality tv. She has a true zest for life and is convinced that she is walking in her life purpose.

Sandra has worked in the mental health care field since 2017. She has a wealth of experience working with diverse populations, focusing on anxiety, stress reduction, and interpersonal relationship skills. Sandra engages with her clients in a warm and personable manner . She has worked with a wide range of mental health concerns and emotional issues. Sandra is experienced in developing personalized treatment plans for each client based on thorough assessments. Sandra applies coping strategies, self-care practices and mindfulness techniques in her sessions to enhance emotional resilience and promote overall well-being. Very active in her local community, Sandra also knows how to balance work and play. She enjoys crocheting, boat rides, playing the piano, nature walks and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking and trying new recipes.

Breoina (pronounced Bree-onna) is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with 6 years of experience in providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. She is skilled in completing intakes, developing treatment plans, case management, identifying appropriate referrals, documenting progress, and discharges. Breoina is committed to advocating for the well-being and overall success of clients. Breoina also provides supplementary counseling services for individuals undergoing intensive psychiatric treatment elsewhere in a mental health program. We are happy to have her as a part of the Inner Rest Counseling team. When Breoina is not working, she treasures time for reading, watching True Crime documentaries, listening to music, and crafting/cricut projects. Her most important downtime activity is spending time with her son.
